Living in Costa Cálida

The Costa Cálida takes its name from its mild climate. Between Águilas and Cartagena the coast is rugged, with hills running down to the sea and coves between the headlands. Further east, La Manga separates the calm, shallow Mar Menor from the open Mediterranean.

The towns along the coast have life all year, with markets, schools and health centres alongside the beaches. The Región de Murcia International Airport lies inland near Corvera, and motorways connect the coast with the city of Murcia, Alicante and Almería.
